Advanced Laser Technology

Using the most advanced laser technology, Dr. Lettieri can improve your appearance without major surgery.

Dr. Lettieri has developed a complete program for nonsurgical skin rejuvenation. This is done primarily with lasers and laser-like devices, which allow for treatment of a variety of skin conditions, including spider veins, age spots, sun damage, fine lines,  wrinkles,  tattoos, and unwanted hair. One of the following devices may be indicated for the skin condition that exists: Versa-Pulse®, Ultrapulse® CO2 Laser, or Vasculite®. With these techniques, patients can be treated in the office in about an hour and immediately return to their usual activities.

Cutera Lasers

The Laser with the Best Power System on the Market

Our goal at Carolina Plastic Surgery is to provide you with the highest quality service. We strive to offer reliable systems and we know we’ve done so by obtaining a Cutera laser device for our office. Cutera was founded in 1998, and in a decade has become the definitive choice in laser systems on the market.

The Pearl—is a non-invasive laser treatment that restores the body’s youthful glow. This Cutera laser reduces wrinkles, age spots and sun damage. The Pearl uses pulses of light on the top layer of skin while also heating the deeper layers to promote long-lasting results. Smooth and soft results can be seen three to four days after treatment.

Carolina Plastic Surgery is proud to use the best products on the market so we can provide our clients with the ultimate in skincare. Our physician and aesthetician will evaluate you and your skin care needs, and together will decide which procedure is best for you.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing may be indicated if you have fine or course wrinkles of the skin - usually on the face. Laser resurfacing may also be helpful if you have uneven skin as a result of scarring acne or small skin growths, or if you have areas of hyperpigmentation (age spots). A pulsed laser removes the superficial layers of the skin. The advantage of the laser is that the depth of treatment is extremely controlled and predictable. Dr. Lettieri will tailor the procedure to your individual needs. Following laser skin rejuvenation your skin should have a smoother, more youthful appearance with more uniform color and texture. The laser procedure also tightens the skin. Depending on the location and degree of resurfacing, the treated areas may be covered with a tape like covering or with ointment. Healing should be complete in 7 - 10 days.

Laser Hair Removal

Intense Pulsed Light (IPLTM) technology offers a gentle, non-invasive long lasting solution to unwanted hair on the face, back, legs, bikini line or any other body area. IPL photo epilation has been performed safely for many years, effectively eliminating dozens of hairs with each pulse. The IPL can treat any skin type and any hair color.

Laser Tattoo Removal

Our VersaPulse laser can remove tattoos painlessly and without scarring. In many cases an anesthetic cream is used to numb the skin. The number of treatments needed to remove a tattoo depends on the type of tattoo, the patient's skin color, and colors used in the tattoo.

Laser Eyelid Surgery

Blepharoplasty

A blepharoplasty may be desirable if you have excessive, sagging, or wrinkled upper or lower eyelid skin. Eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) can also be helpful if you have excess upper eyelid skin that interferes with vision or if you have lost your natural upper eyelid crease. Eyelid lift is also used to treat puffy pouches of fat in the upper or lower lids that create a tired or aged appearance. This procedure is intended to produce a more youthful and rested appearance of the eyes. Blepharoplasty may also widen your visual fields if excessive upper lid skin has partially blocked your vision. Blepharoplasty is done on an outpatient basis under sedation and local or general anesthesia.
